Acer announced the new TravelMate 6593, a professional notebook that targets corporate users looking for a robust, secure and powerful notebook that offers excellent manageability.
Incorporating wide-ranging communication features, the TravelMate 6593 is dedicated to ergonomic, professional use. Optimised ProFile design with subtle tones and a professional appearance will appeal to corporate users looking for a professional notebook that offers the perfect equilibrium between maximum productivity, efficient connectivity and smart portability.
The TravelMate 6593 is equipped with Intel Centrino 2 with vPro technology, featuring Mobile Intel PM45 or GM45 Express Chipset, supporting Intel Active Management Technology (Intel AMT) 4.0. Depending on the model, graphics can be managed by discreet ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 graphic card or by integrated 3D graphics with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500MHD, ensuring extraordinary 3D graphic performance and video processing.
The TravelMate 6593 comes with either a 15.4-inch WXGA high-brightness TFT LCD panel with white LED backlight and 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, or a 15.4-inch WSXGA+ high-brightness TFT LCD with a 1680 x 1050 resolution, both supporting simultaneous multi-window viewing via Acer GridVista, helping you increase your productivity while delivering a natural cinematic view.
To speed up response time and meet multitasking and productivity demands, the TravelMate 6593 can count on up to 4 GB of DDR3 800/1033 MHz memory that significantly increases data bandwidths, reduces power consumption and enhances thermal performance.
Ample storage is guaranteed by a spacious hard disk (up to 320 GB), a multi-in-one card reader and a DVD-Super Multi optical drive that provides more than enough space to store and manage files and folders of any size. To improve versatility and mobility, the TravelMate 6593 integrates the Acer MediaBay hot-swappable solution that offers a choice of an extra hard disk, a second battery or an optical drive with either a DVD-Super Multi double-layer drive or DVD/CD-RW combo, for increased storage capacity.
Dedicate to highly mobile users, the TravelMate 6593 hosts a full range of advanced connectivity solution: from WiFi/WiMAX capabilities, supporting Acer SignalUp with Invilink Nplify wireless technology, to Gigabit Ethernet LAN and modem connection. In addition,on selected configurations, full WWAN connectivity is guaranteed through quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE capability at 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA capability at 2100 MHz.
The TravelMate 6593 comes with Acer Video Conference solution, that includes the Acer Crystal Eye webcam, and Acer Video Conference Manager software (featuring Video Quality Enhancement) that enables you to set up videoconferences wherever you are. The TravelMate 6593 can also be specified with a VoIP Bluetooth phone.

The TravelMate series comes preinstalled with Microsoft Windows Vista Business, Windows Vista Business 64-bit, Windows Vista Home Basic or Windows Vista Home Basic 64-bit. All Acer notebooks come with a standard 1 year Carry In (International travellers warranty - ITW) which can be extended to 3 years’ cover with the Acer Advantage service that also covers accidental damage to the notebook.
