Griffin Technology released information on new accessories being showcased at IFA, the world's largest technology show.
Many of the new products introduced to the international market at IFA are new, updated models of Griffin’s best sellers. The seminal iTrip family of FM transmitters recently added a lithium-ion battery powered model – iTrip Universal. In addition, iTrip Auto sports a new look and refreshed design just in time for the upcoming holiday season. Lastly, WindowSeat, Reflect and Streamline have been updated recently and will soon begin shipping with iPhone 3G compatibility. iTrip Universal
iTrip Universal allows audio to be played through the FM stereo at home or in the car using any portable audio source that uses the common 1/8-inch (3.5mm) headphone jack, including iPod, Sansa, Zune, portable CD players and more.
iTrip Universal's internal battery can be recharged through any USB port, and then connects to the player with the included stereo audio cable. Three user-programmable presets save the best frequencies. In addition, stereo/mono output modes are also user selectable.
iTrip Auto
Griffin’s popular iTrip Auto has been redesigned from the ground up to make playing and charging iPod in the car easier than ever. iTrip broadcasts the music from any iPod to an open FM frequency on the car’s FM stereo, allowing users to play their tunes through the car stereo’s speakers. The simple, 1-cable design combines industry leading FM transmission with an auto charger for iPod. iTrip Auto plugs into the cigarette lighter or 12V auto power outlet to charge iPod as it plays. Built-in SmartScan technology does all the work by scanning the radio dial for the next best frequency. A power switch with 3-color charge indicator has been added allowing users to manually power off iTrip Auto while leaving it plugged in the 12V outlet. Finally, three user-selectable presets allow users to save their favorite stations.
WindowSeat for iPhone 3G
WindowSeat mounts iPhone 3G, iPhone or iPod touch on a car's windshield or dashboard at eye level, ensuring quick and easy access to street maps, directions, controls and other content. WindowSeat's adjustable mounting bracket securely holds the device at any desired angle. A clever corner-release allows quick removal of iPhone or iPod from the mount. Two mounting methods are included: a powerful suction cup for mounting on windshield or window glass, and a self-adhesive pad that allows the suction cup to work on vinyl and other flexible surfaces. WindowSeat includes an audio cable for playing the device directly through the car stereo, and is designed to easily accommodate use with Griffin PowerJolt auto charger or iTrip Auto FM transmitter.
Reflect for iPhone 3G
Like polished chrome, Reflect presents a sleek, metallic finish that covers the perimeter of the iPhone’s multi touch display. Reflect provides protection for iPhone as only a hard shell of polycarbonate can while complementing the device's sleek design. A matte black rubberized case back seals the iPhone inside, and provides a sure grip.
Streamline for iPhone 3G
At the gym, on the road or hitting the trail, iPhone 3G rides safely in Streamline, the ultimate sport armband for iPhone.
