Pros:
Magellan RoadMate 1412 makes getting there a breeze. Voice activated address book calls up frequent contacts with routes. Touchscreen is very reliable and the 4.3-inch display is easy to read. Voice directions are audible. Sound is clear and loud enough to hear with traffic. Totally cool, SmartDetour function helps avoid getting stuck in traffic or construction. Good buy for less than $160.
Cons:
Internal memory is a little weak, but the SD slot for maps is sufficient.
Overall impression:
The RoadMate 1412 is a very good GPS with a fantastic 4.3-inch touch screen display. Map directions come up within seconds. Excellent for hands-free driving with voice turn-by-turn directions. Has the ability to call up directions from contact address book. Maps are current with updates available. Really good buy with mail-in rebate.

The RoadMate saves time and money. Cool large 4.3-inch touch screen display with brilliant colors. Easy to follow written and oral directions. Maps are updated and ready to go for US. Includes a car charger and rechargeable lithium ion battery. Voice commands with sync to address book. Good value for $150.

Excellent buy for a voice command, 4.3-inch brilliant color touchscreen display. Avoid traffic jams with advanced warning from device. Voice turn-by-turn directions. Maps are pretty much current. Internal memory plus SD card for maps. Easy to operate.

Pros:
Super 4.3-inch touchscreen with voice turn-by-turn directions. Current maps and SmartDetour gets me out of traffic jams. Save repeat addresses and use voice commands to generate route. Clear and understandable voice directions. Visual directions easy to follow. Buy additional SD memory card maps for the future. Excellent buy at less than $200.
Cons:
Bluetooth 2.0 would be nice. More internal memory would be cool.
Overall impression:
Outstanding overall performer with a dynamic 4.3-inch touch screen display. Easy to use right out of the box. Voice commands and directions are excellent features. Great buy for the money.

I like its clear voice, telling me which way to turn. This GPS unit is very easy to set up and use. I like one very nice feature of it, when it gets dark, screen changes to black automatically, that makes night driving very comfortable. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.
