As far as I am concerned LG makes the choicest cell phones. I have tried other brands and I don't have any big complaints. After looking around it is my opinion LG delivers a better design and features for my personal preferences. I send numerous text messages and I wanted a phone with a friendly QWERTY keyboard. I also wanted a SD slot for extra memory. These two features are very important to me.

The LG enV2 has improved both of these essential features and provided a smaller and sleeker model. In addition, the LG enV2 includes numerous features I wanted like a good camera and music player. It is offered by Verizon for $129 and requires a new two-year phone plan.

The LG enV2 is smaller than the previous enV model. It has compressed in a very nice way the QWERTY keyboard and made it very user-friendly. The enV2 fits in the palm of your hand for extreme portability. On the right side of the LG enV2 is a microSD slot which can handle up to 8 GB additional memory. On the left side you will find simple controls like volume control and the camera key. The user friendly design simply betters the familiar LG enV.

The LG enV2 utilizes all the Verizon V-Cast features like VZ Navigator. It has a 2.0 Web browser with Get It Now capability for downloading content. The e-mail and instant messaging features are compatible with most providers including Yahoo.

The 2.0 digital camera with camcorder capability has advanced editing features and a 10x digital zoom. The video resolution is 320 x 240 pixels and it does not support the zoom resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels still image. It is a recorder and can play back video or still images. The enV2 has the ability to send and receive picture images by instant message and e-mail. The overall quality of the images is good.

The LG enV2 has an music player that is compatible with MP3, wma, and unprotected .aac and .aac+ formats. The sound quality is above average for a cell phone. The LG enV2 has Bluetooth built in and supports a variety of hands-free features. A unique addition, is the ability to hear text messages. The LG enV2 has a text to speech function that makes it ideal for listening to incoming text messages while on the road.

The battery life of the LG enV2 is an astounding five hours and twenty minutes for talk time. The manufacture list 21.6 days of standby time. It is hearing aid compatible and has a 1,000 entries address book with picture ID capacity for photos stored on the device.

In my opinion, the LG enV2 is great for people who like to text message. I find it a good method to send and receive information I need in my work. The LG brand is reliable and I like the additional conveniences and features of the LG enV2.
